can we all just agree that theres too much meanness in the world so we should all be nice to each other? every time we support someone and lift them up rather than knock them down, we get to help make the world sunshinier
i dont look at icons. i dont look at urls. i just like and reblog the posts. i send my friends posts, and im like “this looks like something you’d like” and half the time its their own post but i am never going to change my ways.
I always see people outside of tumblr complaining about how sjw or political it is, but it really isn’t, it’s 100% a customizable experience, like any other site.
Like, H3H3 guy Ethan was complaining about how he went on tumblr and all he saw was furry porn or whatever – as someone who has been here 6 years, unless you’re flat out looking for furry porn you’re really not gonna find it that easily, almost certain he just looked up furry porn and then complained about it in front of everyone. Like, my dash has never had furry porn on it… it’s not that hard Ethan.
All art is literally just an attempt at grappling with the fact that we have no way of knowing if the minds of other people are actually real.
any and all attempts to translate your lived experience into something tangible to communicate with other people is an acknowledgement that your consciousness ends where your body ends and what you experience as truth must be translated so that what is instinctively known by you can be even vaguely grasped by someone outside of “you” and can enter into their truth
