art is hard because you put so much of your blood sweat and tears into it (and, in most cases, youv’e been bleeding and sweating and crying for it for years or decades), and it feels like you’re baring your soul every single time (or reaching into yourself and reshaping your soul lol), but at the same time you have to divorce yourself somewhat from your ego and basically numb yourself to your own feelings about the process and about your own abilities so that you don’t get paralysed by feelings of inadequacy and fear 🙃
